Increased security is likely in Orumba North LGA, Anambra State, as of Nov. 12, following the killing of Joel Mohel, chairman of the Youth Progressive Party (YPP), by unidentified gunmen in Nanka Ward 1 on the evening of Nov. 11. The incident occurred after a community meeting between Hon. Chinwe Nnabuife, the House of Representatives member for Orumba North and South, and precedes a court-ordered election rerun between the YPP candidate, Nnabuife, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Okwudili Ezenwankwo.
