Pakistan: Pakistan International Airlines announces the resumption of flight operations as of Nov. 6 /update 3
Pakistan International Airlines resumes normal operations nationwide as of Nov. 6. Residual disruptions possible.
Flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PK) has announced the resumption of normal flight operations nationwide as of Nov. 6. The airline had previously canceled multiple international and domestic flights in various cities, including Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, since Oct. 17 after the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) suspended fuel supply over the alleged non-payment of dues. The PSO has since restored the fuel supply to the airline following a resolution of the issue.
Residual flight disruptions remain possible over the coming days as the carrier works to clear passenger backlogs.
Monitor local media sources for updates. Contact the airline or relevant airport to reconfirm flights. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Consider making alternative arrangements for time-sensitive travel if necessary.
