Spain: Environmental activists to march in Alicante Nov. 26

Environmental activists will march through downtown Alicante from 12:00 Nov. 26 to demand that renewable energy development respects the environment. Participants will gather in Placa de l'Ajuntament before marching to the Subdelegation of the Government in Placa de la Muntanyeta. Although participation levels are unclear, previous similar demonstrations were attended by around a thousand people.

Authorities will likely deploy additional police to monitor and facilitate the event. Localized transport disruptions are likely along the march route. Violence is not anticipated.
