Informational

The Farmers' Force Association is leading further protests in central Chisinau, Dec. 5. Agricultural workers are driving a column of around 100 tractors through the city, prompting traffic disruptions. The protesters are likely to focus their action near the Ministry of Agriculture, the Great National Assembly Square, and other government buildings. This is the fourth major demonstration in recent days following protests in Chisinau on Nov. 23-24 and Nov. 30; further protests are highly likely in the coming days.

Authorities will continue to deploy an increased security presence to monitor the protests. The demonstrations and associated security measures, including road closures and movement restrictions, will likely prompt localized transport disruptions. Isolated clashes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out, particularly if activists attempt to breach any security cordons.

Avoid the demonstration as a standard precaution. Allow additional time to reach nearby destinations in central Chisinau. Heed the instructions of authorities.
