US: Activists protest march throughout Manhattan, Dec. 18 in support of Palestine

Pro-Palestine activists, affiliated with several organizations, have launched a protest march throughout several areas of Manhattan, New York, N.Y., on Dec. 18 to demand a ceasefire in the current Israel-Hamas conflict. Demonstrators gathered at Grand Central Terminal earlier in the afternoon and marched to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Reports indicate they plan to continue marching toward Penn Station, along 8th Avenue.

Hundreds of activists are participating in the demonstrations, which are likely to continue causing ground transport disruptions. Disruptions to train and metro services are possible. Heightened security in the affected areas is likely. Counter-protests cannot be ruled out.
