Students are protesting in N'Djamena in the vicinity of N'Djamena University on Jan. 29. The purpose of the action is to demand the departure of the university director and denounce the expulsion of dozens of students. Police forces used tear gas to disperse the gathering earlier in the day; protesters reportedly remain gathered in some areas. The neighborhood hosts the university, as well as other educational facilities, such as Felix Eboue High School, which was reportedly forced to close.
