Unionized teachers affiliated with the National Coordinating Committee of Education Workers (Coordinadora Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educacion) Coordinadora Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educacion, CNTE) gathered near the intersection of Avenida Paseo de la Reforma and Eje 1 Poniente in Mexico City on Jan. 26. Participants plan to march to the Ministry of Public Education on Calle Republica de Brasil. Participants are demanding increased salaries. Traffic disruptions are occurring in the area.
