The blast occurred near Adeyi Avenue in the Bodija area of Ibadan, destroying and damaging dozens of buildings. Officials confirmed at least two people died in the incident and more than 77 suffered injuries. Following an initial investigation, authorities said the blast was likely from explosives being stored by illegal miners.
