Increased security and disruptions are likely through at least late Feb. 21 in multiple areas of Bogota due to ongoing protests by students affiliated with the Universidad Distrital; students reportedly demand transportation differential. Reports indicate unruly students have vandalized a bus and blocked roads near the university campuses in Avenida Villavicencio, in the southwestern part of the city, and the campus of Macarena, in the city's east.

Police have deployed to both locations, and clashes between demonstrators and police are possible. Localized transport and business disruptions are likely over the coming hours. Additional acts of violence and vandalism cannot be ruled out.
