India: Flight disruptions likely at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport through March 30

Flight disruptions likely to occur at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, India, through March 30. Check flight reservations.

Warning

Flight disruptions are likely at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) until March 30 as the Ministry of Civil Aviation ordered a reduction in flights to prevent congestion. Airport personnel have stated that, in the case of flight cancellations, passengers can either request a refund or rebook their flight to any later scheduled up to April 15. Airlines that have announced cancellations include Akasa (QP), with cancellations of their Mumbai to Bengaluru route, as well as Indigo (63) and SpiceJet (SG). Additional cancellations can occur in the following days.

Lingering flight disruptions, including delays and cancellations, are likely even after March 30, when normal flight operations resume as authorities work to clear flight backlogs. Increased demand for other transport services like rail cannot be ruled out as people seek alternative modes of travel.

Confirm all travel reservations through BOM until March 30.
