Several groups plan to hold demonstrations throughout Milan on Feb. 10 over a number of disparate issues.

The details of each demonstration are as follows:

  • Senegalese diaspora demonstration: Protest denouncing the Senegalese president's decision to postpone the country's election. Participants will gather at Piazza Castello at 14:30 and will march along via Jacini, via Paleocapa, viale Alemagna, viale Moliere, viale Milton, and via Mario Pagano, before reaching Piazza Sempione.

  • Protest against the 2026 Winter Olympics: Participants plan to gather at Piazzale Lodi at 15:00 before marching to Piazza Corvetto via viale Isonzo, via Ripamonti, via Serio, via Vezza d'oglio, via Balduccio da Pisa, via Vallarsa, via Benaco, piazza Bonomelli, via Mincio, piazzale Ferrara, via Mompiani, piazzale Gabrio Rosa, and viale Enrico Martini.

  • March of rare disease patients: Participants will gather at Piazza Castello at 15:00 and march along via Beltrami, largo Cairoli, via Dante, piazza Cordusio, via Orefici, piazza del Duomo, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, piazza San Babila, corso Venezia, and via Palestro, before arriving at Piazza Cavour.

  • Foibe memorial events: A number of events commemorating the WW2 Foibe massacres are to be held in the city, including a demonstration between 18:00 and 21:00 in Piazza della Repubblica and a gathering in the Norma Cossetto garden at 14:00.

Local authorities will likely deploy additional police and heightened security to facilitate the demonstrations. Transport disruptions are likely in the vicinity of protest sites, with the Milanese Transport Agency warning that several services were likely to be disrupted in the city Feb. 10, particularly in the vicinity of Piazza Castello and Piazzale Lodi. The protests will likely pass off peacefully.
