Increased security and localized road disruptions are likely ahead of the state funeral of late President Hage Geingob in Windhoek, Feb. 23-25. The incumbent President passed away Feb. 4. Several heads of State are expected to attend his funeral. A procession was held through the city on Feb. 23, and the president will lie in state at the Parliament Gardens until 11:30 Feb. 24. A memorial service will be held at the Independence Stadium, from 14:00 Feb. 24; the funeral will be held from 10:00 Feb. 25 at the Heroes' Acre Memorial.
