Activists, including members of the Plenary of Workers-National Convention of Workers (Plenario Intersindical de Trabajadores-Convencion Nacional de Trabajadores, PIT-CNT), plan to hold a pro-Palestinian protest in downtown Montevideo Feb. 29, in response to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. Demonstrators intend to gather outside the Montevideo City Hall, starting at 18:30, before marching to an undisclosed destination. Several thousand participants will likely attend the protest.
