North Macedonia: Utility outages planned for parts of Skopje March 14
Planned utility outages to occur in parts of Skopje, North Macedonia, on March 14. Disruptions likely.
Planned utility outages are scheduled to occur in several areas of Skopje starting on March 14. Power outages will impact the municipalities of Aerodrom, Centar, Chucher, Petrovec, and Sandevo, beginning at 08:30 and lasting through at least 16:00. Meanwhile, water service disruptions will affect Prague Street in the Karposh municipality from 09:00; officials did not provide an estimate of when water service would be fully restored.
Temporary disruptions are likely for businesses heavily reliant on electricity and water; localized traffic disruptions could also occur during the outage due to inoperable traffic signals.
Make sure mobile devices are fully charged before the outage begins; draw and store sufficient water for the duration of the power cut since well pumps in affected areas will likely be inoperable. Plan accordingly for storage of food stocks that require refrigeration. Exercise increased caution when driving through affected parts of Abuja, especially near intersections with inoperable traffic signals.
