Authorities to close part N3 highway ahead of roadworks in Durban, South Africa, March 23-25. Traffic disruptions likely.

Informational

The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) plans to close a section of the N3 highway between the N2 spaghetti junction and the M7 interchange ahead of the planned demolition of two bridges, March 23-25. St James Avenue and Harry Gwala Road will also be closed. Disruptions are likely to affect the nearby N2, M7 and M17. The road closure will be effective 17:00 March 23-04:00 March 25; the closure period is subject to change at short notice. The agency has suggested using the M17 and M19 as possible alternatives.

Localized transport disruptions and freight delays from increased congestion are likely for the duration of the closure.

Plan for delays if transiting along the N2, N3, M7 and M17 highways in the Durban area during the affected period. Heed the instructions of officials.
