Authorities did not specify when the rationing scheme would end but have indicated that scheduled outages will likely continue beyond April 20. Some business disruptions are possible, especially for companies that rely on large quantities of municipal water for their operations. Authorities may impose additional water restrictions if Colombia continues to experience unusually dry conditions.
Minimize water use during rationing periods. Confirm and stock up on alternative water supplies for business purposes. Water pressure and quality may be poor after normal service resumes; consider running taps for several minutes before using water.
