Finland, Estonia: Finnair suspends flights to Tartu Airport (TAY) through end May, following GPS signal disruptions

Finnair (AY) suspends all flights between Finland and Tartu Airport (TAY) in Estonia, from April 29 through at least May 31. Authorities announced the flight suspensions following disruptions to GPS signals in the vicinity of Tartu. Two Finnair flights were unable to land at TAY, April 25-26, and were forced to return to Helsinki. Estonian government authorities accuse Russia of deliberately disrupting the GPS signals.

Flight operations will likely be subject to ongoing review and may resume earlier than May 31 if conditions allow. Further airlines may review flights operations to and from Estonian airports. Flights in the Baltic region may become increasingly subject to delays and disruptions.
