Lebanese Hizballah's missile attack in Aramsha, Israel, leaves 14 people wounded April 17. Further cross-border violence likely.

Warning

The Lebanese Hizballah (LH) has claimed responsibility for a missile attack in Aramsha, Western Galilee, wounding 14 people on April 17. Two of the victims are believed to be in critical condition. Initially, the number of wounded individuals was reported at six. The LH has stated that the attack was in response to Israel's targeted strikes in Kfar Dounine and Ain Baal, Lebanon, April 16, which killed at least two LH prominent commanders.

Further cross-border violence is likely over the coming hours and days.

Heightened security and disruptions to transport and business are likely in the affected area over the coming hours.

Consider avoiding nonessential travel near the Israel-Lebanon-Syria border until the situation stabilizes. Monitor local media and abide by security forces' directives. If incoming mortar rounds or rockets are reported or warning sirens sound in the general vicinity, report to the nearest bomb shelter and await further instructions from authorities. If there is no shelter nearby, stay indoors and away from windows and exterior walls. If possible, move to a ground floor or basement. Maintain contact with your diplomatic representation. Reconfirm the status of transport services before departure. Review and update contingency plans.
