Morocco: Unionized health workers plan nationwide strike April 24-25

Unionized health workers, including members of the National Federation of Health (Federation Nationale de la Sante), plan to strike across Morocco April 24-25 over a series of grievances, including salaries and working conditions. While labor leaders have not any specific plans for such gatherings, striking workers could stage protests near hospitals, clinics, or Ministry of Health offices.

The strike will probably affect non-emergency health services at most hospitals; however, facilities will continue to provide emergency treatment. Increased security and localized transport disruptions are likely near any protests that materialize April 24-25. Clashes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out.
