PT: Shooting in the West Bank, April 7

Security personnel have deployed to an area near Azzun in the West Bank early April 7 following an earlier shooting. An unidentified assailant fired on vehicles, including a bus, traveling between Azzun and Nabi Ilyas along Route 55. The assailant fled the scene after the attack. At least two people were injured. The road has been closed.

Additional security patrols and checkpoints are likely in the area over the coming hours. Additional road closures may be implemented to facilitate security operations. Clashes between security forces and militants could occur. Local residents could protests against security operations. Any gatherings are likely to be dispersed by the security forces.
