Protesters are blocking the westbound section of the Route 78 highway linking San Antonio and Santiago May 18. The protest is taking place in the vicinity Aguas Buenas, approximately 5 km (3 miles) northeast of central San Antonio. The protesters are denouncing plans to evict inhabitants of the San Antonio "megatoma", or shantytown.
