Unionized public transport personnel plan to strike in several areas of Italy May 31. Azienda Trasporti Milanesi (ATM) workers plan to strike in Milan on May 31. The purpose of the work stoppage is to demand salary increases. ATM is the primary operator of Milan's metro, bus, and tram networks. Participants will halt services from 08:45 to 15:00 and from 18:00 through the end of service.

Unionized public transport workers employed by SAD - Trasporto Locale plan to strike in Bolzano Province from 00:01-23:59. SAD - Trasporto Locale operates buses and railways across the province.

Unionized transport workers employed by Trentino Trasporti plan to strike across Trentino Province from 11:00-15:00. The work stoppage aims to air several grievances, including alleged failure to grant holiday pay and concerns about work conditions. The Trento-Sardagna cable care, extra-urban services, and railway services on the Trento-Male-Mezzana and Trento-Borgo-Bassano lines that start before 11:00 will continue to their destinations; all other transport will stop. Trentino Trasporti operates trains, buses, and cable cars across the province.

Public transport disruptions are likely during the strike hours in all affected areas and may linger into the early morning of June 1. Picket protests are possible at the transport hubs in affected regions, particularly at the ATM headquarters on Foro Buonaparte in Milan; heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near any demonstrations.
