Morocco: Unionized medical workers stage nationwide strike May 22-23

Unionized medical workers are participating in a nationwide strike in Morocco May 22-23 over a series of grievances, including regarding salaries. Strike organizers plan to stage a protest outside the parliament in Rabat from 11:00 May 23. Related demonstrations remain possible elsewhere in the country, including near hospitals, clinics, or Ministry of Health offices.

The work stoppage will probably affect non-emergency medical services at most hospitals and clinics; however, affected medical facilities will likely continue to provide emergency treatment.
