South Africa: Road closures affecting N2 highway in Durban, May 18-20 /update 1
Officials will close part of the N2 in Durban, South Africa, near the M13 bridge, overnight May 18-20.
The South Africa National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) will temporarily close part of the N2 highway to conduct roadworks overnight May 18-20. Disruptions will also affect N3 offramps at the nearby N2/N3 EB Cloete interchange and the Umgeni Road interchange. This is to facilitate the construction of a new bridge for the M13 over the highway. Northbound lanes will be closed 20:00 May 18-04:00 May 19; southbound lanes will be closed 20:00 May 19-04:00 May 20.
Disruptions are likely to affect the N2. Localized transport disruptions and freight delays from increased congestion are likely for the duration of the closure.
Plan for delays if transiting along the N2 and N3 highways in the Durban area during the affected period. Heed the instructions of officials.
