Ongoing flight disruptions related to an unspecified technical issue will likely continue at Montreal Trudeau International Airport (YUL) into the evening of June 22. Dozens of flights have been delayed, with some cancellations, due the facility's approaching gridlock because of the issue; authorities have not released any details concerning the nature of the malfunction. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a ground stop program for flights departing the US for YYZ until at least 18:15 June 22. Residual delays could extend for several hours after the the technical problem has been resolved as carriers reposition aircraft and work to resolve their passenger backlogs.
