Niger: Activists plan to demonstrate nationwide on June 21

Activists associated with the M62 Movement plan to stage demonstrations across Niger starting at 14:00 June 21. The purpose of the action is to show support for the ruling National Council for the Protection of the Homeland (CNSP) and denounce alleged Western influence in the country. Organizers have announced one rally will take place at Niamey's Place de la Concertation, located adjacent to the National Assembly; this will probably be the largest of the gatherings.
