South Africa: Road closures to affect N3 highway in Pietermaritzburg, June 5 /update 3
Officials will close part of the N3 highway in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, 14:30-15:00 June 5 to facilitate a controlled demolition.
The South Africa National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) will temporarily close part of the N3 highway in Pietermaritzburg to conduct roadworks, June 5. The section between the Ashburton and New England Road interchanges will be closed 14:30-15:00 to facilitate a controlled demolition. Nearby roads will also be affected. This is the second of three closures. The first was on May 22 and the third is on June 12.
Localized transport disruptions and freight delays due to increased congestion are likely to last the duration of the closure, and disruptions could extend beyond the stated time.
