Colombia: Rallies scheduled in multiple locations nationwide July 20 to support agricultural reform
Pro-government farmers plan to demonstrate in multiple locations across Colombia on July 20 to support agricultural reform policies.
Pro-government farmers, some affiliated with the Caribbean Peasant Coordinator (Coordinadora Campesina del Caribe), plan to hold rallies and marches in several cities throughout Colombia on July 20 to express support for the government's agricultural reform programs.
Among the confirmed locations for the demonstrations are the following:
Aguachica: Universidad Popular del Cesar, 08:00
Barranquilla: March from Cementerio Universal to Plaza de la Paz, 09:00
Cartagena: march from gas station at Pie del Cerro to Camellon de los Martires, 09:00
Santa Marta: Rally at Turko Jeans along Carrera 5
Villavicencio: March from CC Viva Villavicencio to Parque Banderas, 09:00
Protests in other locations are possible. Most demonstrations are likely to gather several hundred or a few thousand activists, causing transport disruptions. Heightened security along the protest routes is likely.
