France: Unionized airport personnel to strike across Paris July 17

Unionized airport workers to strike at Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly, and Paris-Le Bourget airports in Paris, France, July 17.

Warning

Unionized airport personnel employed by Groupe ADP, the operator of Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Paris Orly (ORY), and Paris-Le Bourget (LBG) airports, plan to strike on July 17. The purpose of the work stoppage is to demand bonuses related to an expected increase in work intensity around the Olympics, as well as to demand additional hiring and improved working conditions.

Should the strike move forward as planned, air travel disruptions are likely at CDG, ORY, and LBG on July 17. Picket protests are possible at the affected airports, particularly near the Groupe ADP headquarters within the territory of CDG. Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near any demonstrations that take shape.

Reconfirm planned travel via CDG, ORY, and LBG planned for July 17. Do not check out of accommodations until onward travel is confirmed. Arrive early at the airport to allow additional time for processing. Avoid all protests as a standard precaution. Strictly heed all instructions from authorities.
