Israel: Rocket and weaponized drones fired toward northern regions July 4

Hizballah-launched rockets and weaponized drones toward northern Israel, July 4, amid escalating tensions.

Warning

Lebanese Hizballah (LH) fired around 200 weaponized drones and missiles toward several parts of northern Israel on July 4. Warning sirens were activated across several locations in Israel's north, including but not limited to Acre, Harita, Kiryat Shmona, Nahariyya, and Shlomi. At least one person was injured. The projectile fire is in response to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killing Mohammad Nimah Nasser, who served as a division commander within LH, in Tyre on July 3.

Further rocket attacks are possible amid escalating tensions between Israel and LH. Rocket fire could result in short-term disruptions in impacted locations. Heightened security is likely near impact sites.

Avoid the vicinity of the affected location until authorities have completely secured the area and given the all-clear. Heed the instructions of local security personnel. If incoming fire is reported in the general vicinity, stay indoors, away from windows and exterior walls. If possible, move to the ground floor or basement. Maintain contact with your country's diplomatic mission.
