Flight disruptions likely to continue at Beirut-Rafic Hariri Internation, Lebanon, through at least early August due to increasing tensions.

Warning

Flight disruptions are likely at Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY) through at least early August following increasing regional tensions. Several airlines suspended their flights into Beirut due to increasing tensions and insurance risks after a rocket attack originating from Lebanon killed at least 12 civilians in the Golan Heights on July 27. Middle East Airlines (ME), Turkish Airlines (TK), Aegean Airlines (A3), and Ethiopian Air (ET) canceled flights on July 29; Swiss International Air Lines (LX), Eurowings (EW), Air France (AF), and Transavia (HV) have suspended all flights July 29-30; Lufthansa (LH) announced the suspensions of all flights into BEY until August 5. Additional airlines could announce similar measures in the coming hours and days.

Lingering disruptions are likely after normal services resume as airlines work to clear passenger backlogs.
