The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a drone strike targeting a vehicle in Ghazze, Western Beqaa District, the morning of July 18. The strike reportedly killed Muhammed Jabara, a senior commander of Sunni Islamist group Al-Jama'a al-Islamiyya. The group's armed wing has frequently collaborated with the Lebanese Hizballah (LH) to launch attacks on Israel.

Ghazze is approximately 20 km (12 miles) south of Zahle.
