Activists from the Progressive Students’ Collective plan to gather at Liberty Chowk in Lahore from 18:00 July 13. The action is to condemn the recent alleged extrajudicial killing of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement member Gilaman Wazir and denounce human rights violations. While turnout remains unclear, hundreds to a thousand supporters could participate in the event.

Heightened security and localized transport disruption will almost certainly occur around the protest site. Isolated clashes are possible if police attempt to disperse the gathering or any unruly sections of demonstrators forcibly. Officials may impose traffic restrictions, including security cordons, diversions, and road closures along Main Boulevard Gulberg and Noor Jehan Road through the evening of July 13. Increased vehicular congestion and road closures are also possible in the vicinity, especially if street marches or road blockades occur.
