Portugal: Unionized rail workers to conduct nationwide strikes July 22, 24

Unionized railway workers employed by Comboios de Portugal, Portugal's primary passenger train operator, plan to conduct two 24-hour nationwide strikes on July 22 and 24. The purpose of the labor action is to demand improved career advancement opportunities. Workers affiliated with at least 11 unions are participating in the work stoppage.

Rail travel disruptions are likely nationwide on July 22 and 24. The industrial action will also likely impact services on July 23 between the two official strike days, as well as July 25 as services return to normal.
