The tornado was active at approximately 17:25, causing severe damage to buildings, derailing a freight train, damaging gas lines, and downing power lines. There have been no immediate reports of casualties.

Transport and business disruptions are likely in the affected area over the coming days as recovery efforts continue. Disruptions to electricity and other utility services are likely. Blackouts could disrupt essential services such as municipal water distribution, ATMs, and fueling stations. Traffic disruptions are possible due to malfunctioning traffic signals.
