Colombia: Protesters blocking roads in central Bogota Aug. 15

Demonstrators have gathered in Bogota's Chapinero neighborhood as of the afternoon of Aug. 15 have begun blocking traffic at the intersection of Calle 72 and Carrera 10. The purpose of the action is to protest perceived problems with the country's health system. Localized transport disruptions are being reported near the demonstration. Police will likely deploy to area, and clashes are possible, especially if authorities attempt to forcibly disperse the protesters.
