Authorities plan to dispose of an unexploded WWII bomb at the Orlen Unipetrol oil refinery, Litvinov, Aug. 30. Authorities discoved the device on Aug. 21 and subsequently closed the oil refinery over safety concerns. Local officials have established an exclusion zone of up to 2,000 metres (1.5 miles), prompting road closures and tram disruptions. It is not known when the operation will end.

The evacuation order, heightened security, and road closures will likely cause localized transport disruptions during the bomb disposal operation. Lingering disruptions are likely throughout Aug. 30-31.

Avoid the operation area. Allow additional time if traveling near the evacuation zone. Strictly heed all instructions from authorities.
