Student activists plan protest at Ministry of Interior, Budapest, Hungary, Sept. 2. Heightened security, localized disruptions likely.
Student activists plan to protest at the Ministry of Interior in Budapest, in the evening of Sept. 2. Attendees will denounce the dismissal of the director of the Madach Imre Secondary School. Several hundred protesters gathered at the school on Aug. 28, and similar or higher numbers are likely Sept. 2.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest site. Though unlikely, low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the protest site. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
