Political activists affiliated with TISZA party, led by opposition figure Peter Magyar, plan to demonstrate and march through central Budapest from 15:00 Oct. 23. Participants will gather at Bem Square, and later march towards Szena Square, where the demonstration will conclude. The purpose of the rally is to commemorate Hungary's uprising which occurred in 1956; Oct. 23 is a national holiday in Hungary. Several thousand people could participate.

Authorities will likely deploy increased security to monitor the event; localized road travel and transport disruptions are likely near the march route and gathering sites.

Avoid all demonstrations as a standard precaution. Heed instructions from local authorities. Immeadiately depart the area at the first sign of any security disturbance.
