Activists plan to protest outside the Kirkuk Governorate building in Kirkuk from 18:00 Aug. 13. Protesters are denouncing the lack of Turkmen representatives in the local government. Dozens to a hundred individuals could attend the demonstration.

Increased security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the Kirkuk Governorate building the evening of Aug. 13. Clashes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out, particularly if demonstrators are overly disruptive or if they ignore police orders to disperse.
