Public sector workers in in Sulaymaniyah are on indefinite strike as of Aug. 27 to denounce delays in the payment of their salaries. While organizers have not announced any protests, associated demonstrations are possible outside government offices and public squares.

The labor action will will almost certainly result in reduced availability of public services.
