Israel: Rockets fired toward northern regions in early Aug. 12

Hizballah reportedly launched rockets toward northern Israel early Aug. 12 amid escalating tensions. No reporters of casualties.

Warning

The Lebanese Hizballah (LH) reportedly fired dozens of missiles toward northern Israel on early Aug. 12. Warning sirens were activated across several locations in Israel's north. Officials reported that some 30 projectiles landed in open areas near Nahariya. As of early Aug. 12, Israeli authorities reported no casualties.

Further rocket attacks are possible amid escalating tensions between Israel and LH. Rocket fire could result in short-term disruptions in impacted locations. Heightened security is likely near impact sites.

Avoid the vicinity of the affected location until authorities have completely secured the area and given the all-clear. Heed the instructions of local security personnel. If incoming fire is reported in the general vicinity, stay indoors, away from windows and exterior walls. If possible, move to the ground floor or basement. Maintain contact with your country's diplomatic mission.
