Firefighters are responding to a large structure fire in the industrial sector of La Negra, Antofagasta Region, on Sept. 11. The blaze broke out at a recycling plant in the area on Sept. 10; at least 150 workers were evacuated. The cause of the blaze remains unclear. There are no immediate reports of casualties.

Heightened security and localized transport and business disruptions are likely in the affected area over the coming hours. Officials could evacuate additional nearby premises as a precaution.

Avoid the scene until responders have completely extinguished the fire and given the all-clear. Seek alternative routes and allow additional time for travel near the affected area.
