Activists plan to march from Place de la Bastille to the Hotel de Ville in Paris, from 14:00 Sept. 15. The rally will mark the second anniversary of the uprising in Iran, that was sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini. Campaigners will march for "Women, Life, Freedom" ("Femme, Vie, Liberte"). It is possible that several thousand will participate, based on the first anniversary event in 2023.
Authorities will likely deploy heightened security to the march route. Road closures will likely prompt localized transport disruptions near the protest areas. Violence is not anticipated.
Avoid the affected areas as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the protest sites. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
