Germany: Activists demonstrating in Berlin, Sept. 20
Activists to march from Frankfurter Tor to Ostkreuz Station in Berlin, Germany, from 18:00 Sept. 20. Transport disruptions likely.
Abortion rights activists plan to conduct a protest march between Frankfurter Tor and the intersection of Neue Bahnhofstrasse and Sonntagstrasse from 18:00 Sept. 20. The demonstration is intended to serve as a preliminary gathering before counter-demonstrations at the anti-abortion March for Life the following day. It was not immediately clear how many participants may attend.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely along the march route. Though unlikely, low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers, frustrated motorists, or ideologically opposed individuals cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near or between Frankfurter Tor and the intersection of Neue Bahnhofstrasse and Sonntagstrasse. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
