North Macedonia: Pensioners' groups to demonstrate in central Skopje, Sept. 3

Pensioners' groups will demonstrate in central Skopje on Sept. 3. They are calling for a pension increase in line with inflation, and for the resignation of the president of the Association of Pensioners. As of Sept. 2, the start time and location are not clear, however possible protest sites include the National Assembly and the Economy Ministry. It is likely that several hundred to thousands of participants will attend the gathering.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are possible near the protest site.
