Unionized workers to stage protests and march in Warsaw Sept. 26. Members of the Solidarity labor union will demonstrate outside the Ministry of Infrastructure from 11:00 to 13:00 to denounce redundancies at the PKP Cargo company. Participants will then march to the Ministry of State Assets to denounce redundancies at Polish Post (Poczta Polska). It is possible that several hundred to low thousands will take part in the event.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions will likely affect the vicinity of the protests and the march. The rallies are likely to pass off peacefully.
Avoid the protests and march as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling in the affected area. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers.
