Sri Lanka: Scheduled water disruptions to occur in various parts of Kandy District Sept. 28-30
Scheduled water outages to affect parts of Kandy District, Sri Lanka, 01:00 Sept. 28-18:00 Sept. 30. Commercial disruptions possible.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced that water outages will impact parts of Kandy District from 01:00 Sept. 28 to 18:00 Sept. 30. Several areas will be affected, including Ampitiya, Amunugama, Hantana, Harispattuwa, Pathadumbara, Pujapitiya, Rajawella, Sirimalwatta, and Walala.
Some business disruptions are possible, especially for companies that rely on large quantities of municipal water. While residents typically rely on private water suppliers during water outages, ongoing fuel shortages could limit availability.
Confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes.
