The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado warning for parts of Nash, Edgecombe, and Halifax counties in northeastern North Carolina on Sept. 30. The warning is in effect until at least 17:30 and areas under the warning include Rocky Mount, Leggett, and Tarboro. The tornado warning could be extended or expanded on short notice.
