Yemen: Israeli airstrikes target Al-Hudaydah Sept. 29

Israeli airstrikes target multiple locations in Al-Hudaydah, Yemen, on Sept. 29 in response to recent Al-Houthi missile attacks on Israel.

Warning

Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple locations in Al-Hudaydah, Yemen, Sept. 29. The airstrikes are in retaliation to recent missile attacks on Israel. Reportedly, the Israeli airstrikes targeted oil storage facilities and a power plant in Al-Hudaydah. There are no reports of casualties as yet.

The Al-Houthis will likely retaliate by launching weaponized drones and missiles against Israeli cities over the coming hours and days.

Heed the instructions of local security forces. If incoming fire is reported in the general vicinity, stay indoors, away from windows and exterior walls. If possible, move to a ground floor or basement. Maintain contact with your country's diplomatic mission.

The Al-Houthis, which control most of northern Yemen, are allied with Iran. The group has been targeting commercial and military vessels in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Mediterranean Sea since the Israel-Hamas conflict began in October 2023. As part of their solidarity campaign with Hamas, the Al-Houthis have also been launching projectiles into Israel.
